Disability Services Group offers a comprehensive portfolio of Employee Benefit Services including group medical plans fully insured and self funded.

Our service range also includes Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability and Long Term Care Insurance coverage's, supported by a portfolio of executive benefits. We have professional alliances with providers of 401 & 403B plans, Investment Advisers and Third Party Administrators of HRA's, HSA's & FSA's.

Group History:
Disability Services Group received its name from the firm's President, Allan Checkoway. Allan's career includes thirty-five years of health care insurance experience with a two decade focus on Disability & Long Term Care Insurance. Allan has authored three books: Disability Income, A How to Guide published by R&R Newkirk. Disability Income Insurance, a text published by Kaplan Financial and most recently in 2011 Getting Paid, a Disability Resource Manual covering how to successfully file a long term disability claim with the Social Security Administration, with private disability insurers and the Veterans Administration. The book also comes with a supplement on Life Style Changes for the Disabled; including housing and accessible travel opportunities.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Disability Services Group is to provide a unified approach with one telephone number (617-630-0700) accountability for all our resources. We wish to show you a superior employee benefit package to retain valued employees and to attract new ones. We look to remove administrative burdens and increase customer satisfaction with their benefits. Due to our increased advocacy, we like to create additional benefit visibility with employees and insurers. Likewise, we become an extension of our clients HR and employee benefits departments.

Current Market Climate:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce reports the cost of managing employee benefits in the 21st century presents new and complex challenges. Companies need more flexible benefit programs for financial feasibility and to advocate and retain valued employees.

Today restraints imposed by Federal and State regulations require significant knowledge of benefit design and funding alternatives. Disability Services Group maintains their mission of responsibility in helping clients remain in compliance with regulations. Our full service clients have access to a client web based HR & Benefits Library.

Our Disability Counseling Services provides a "team support" and comfort employees greatly appreciate when faced with the emotional upset and consequences of a long term disability.
